About the Role
Robert Half is partnering with a leading global manufacturer of engineered sensing technology. We are bringing a European Financial Controller role to market, based in Wigan. This is an exciting opportunity with significant growth potential for an ambitious and hands-on Financial Controller. You will help drive change and influence cultural transformation across European functions.
This role requires an individual with exceptional financial acumen to navigate complex financial landscapes while aligning with regional strategic goals. The European Controller will establish and lead a regional accounting services organization headquartered in the UK, serving as the cornerstone for financial stewardship across all European entities and shaping the organizational culture.
Collaborating closely with corporate functional leads, you will oversee critical areas including accounting, tax, treasury, payroll, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and HR functions, ensuring seamless integration and alignment with organizational objectives.
Key Responsibilities
* Build and manage a regional accounting services organization in the UK for all European entities.
* Manage accounting, tax, treasury, payroll, accounts receivable, and accounts payable in coordination with corporate functional leads.
* Ensure accurate forecasting and budgeting processes are in place and effectively executed.
* Manage cash position in collaboration with the VP of Treasury to optimize liquidity and financial stability.
* Act as a finance business partner for all European activities, maintaining transfer pricing policies aligned with global tax strategies.
* Partner cross-functionally to ensure appropriate pricing levels across customers and provide insights on cost challenges with global production locations where profitability is challenged.
Qualifications
* Qualified Financial Controller with experience in an international role.
* Experience in manufacturing or distribution is preferred but not essential.
* Proficiency with technology, including Oracle, Onestream, and MS Office.
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting and analysis.
* Ability to collaborate effectively across geographies and functions to achieve business objectives.
