Job Description
The Claims Vendor Management Function is responsible for acquiring services from external vendors to support the delivery of the Chubb Claims service and managing those vendor relationships.
Our team supports the international business within Chubb, known as COG, which includes four regions: Europe, Middle East & Africa; South & Central America; Asia, Australia & New Zealand; and Japan.
The team is multi-faceted. Responsibilities include overseeing contract negotiations, reviewing vendor performance, coordinating with internal stakeholders, onboarding new vendors, evaluating proposals, terminating relationships, and managing run-off.
This role offers an opportunity to work closely with Chubb’s legal teams, colleagues globally, and third parties, ideal for someone with a legal background transitioning into a dynamic commercial environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Report to the Vice President, COG Claims Vendor Management.
* Support drafting agreements, interpreting contract language, and resolving disputes with legal and vendor teams.
* Manage Claims Vendor Templates, Guidelines, and Governance documents.
* Maintain and circulate updated Vendor Management policies and procedures.
* Ensure Vendor Management Compliance according to internal guidelines and act as liaison with Legal, Risk, Compliance, and Info Security functions, including global teams.
* Communicate with internal and external stakeholders effectively.
* Escalate systemic vendor issues from regions to the COG team.
* Prepare reports for senior stakeholders, including sensitive material, to inform decision-making.
* Support performance management of legal vendors, benchmarking, KPI analysis, and billing review guidance.
* Monitor industry trends for new Vendor Management concepts.
* Report on strategic vendor reviews, including performance against SLAs, issues, and actions.
Qualifications
* Qualified lawyer in the UK with 5+ years PQE.
* Claims handling experience.
* Flexibility to work across multiple time zones.
* Understanding of contract agreements, terms, and conditions.
* Ability to analyze complex legal issues and develop creative, customer-focused solutions.
* Knowledge of legal, regulatory, and compliance concepts.
* Excellent drafting, analytical, and attention-to-detail skills.
* Proficiency in producing accurate documentation within deadlines.
* Self-motivated, eager to learn, team-oriented.
* Maintains confidentiality and integrity.
* Strong organizational and relationship-building skills.
* Proficient with Microsoft Office, especially Excel (charts, pivot tables).
