Offer description

An NMR R&D Chemist is required to join a multinational chemical company at their state of the art facility in Berkshire. As a vital member of the R&D team you will be required to conduct NMR research development and performance testing for in house business units.

You will need to demonstrate strong technical competence in NMR analysis including the ability to interpret data results.


RESPONSIBILITIES:


Performs NMR analysis and interpret data for company and related chemistries in a timely manner in order to meet project deadlines.


Completes preliminary evaluations of data and liaise with internal customers regarding results and necessary characterizations. Complete special projects as assigned


Participate in technical and/or project reviews and presents findings as appropriates. Engage with assigned teams and cross-functional stakeholders such as business process marketing etc…


Maintain accurate up-to-date records in accordance with NMR procedures. Ensure objectivity and accuracy in reporting and recording data. May direct the activities of team members as necessary and assure that adequate inventory/supplies are maintained.


Understand comply and promote safe laboratory and work practices including appropriate safety regulations and procedures.


Assure that complete documentation is maintained on ISO or Quality System related activities. Participate in Quality System related activities and maintain an up-to-date understanding of the Quality System functions & responsibilities.


Represent the company in technical conferences societies and other industry activities. Maintain adequate level of technical expertise and self-development through study seminars etc. Stay informed of advanced developments inside and outside of the company.


EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE MINIMUMS:


* Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry (or other relevant science field)
* Demonstrated NMR experience at a level to be able to understand interpret and communicate results of data produced


PREFERRED EXPEREINCE:


* Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of applicable chemistry and application in a research and development environment
