Are you passionate about supporting older people's mental health? If so, we at MHSOP Intensive Community Liaison Service (ICLS) want to hear from you!


We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic, professional, and compassionate Band 3 Community Support Worker to join our community team.


This post is not open to trainees therefore the successful candidate should have completed the Diploma in Health and Social Care Level 3 or equivalent. Candidates must also have Literacy and Numeracy level 2 or equivalent and must complete the Trust Healthcare Assistant competencies within their probationary period (first 6 months in role).
The successful candidate will join our specialist multi-disciplinary team whose aim is to provide holistic, person-centred care to older peoplewho are experiencing a range of mental health conditions. We work alongside people in care homes and in their own homes.

Tees, Esk and Wear Valleys are committed to co-creating safe and personalised care that improves the lives of people by involving them as equal partners. The post holder will support registered members of the team to deliver evidenced based interventions to help older people with their mental health using interventions from our Pathways of care.


The post holder should also be expected to carry out physical health monitoring to help support older people.

Diploma in Health and Social Care level 3 or equivalent
Care certificate
Evidence of professional development
Previous experience as a Band 2/3 HCA or equivalent in a care environment
Previous experience of working with people with mental/social health needs or learning disabilities
Previous work in the community

Ability to travel independently in accordance with Trust policies and service need.
Self-aware and committed to continual professional and personal development. Able to accept and respond positively to feedback from supervision
Committed to continual quality and service improvement
Hold a Full UK Driving Licence
