Job Title : Backend Developer (Python / Go) Location : Remote, UK | Full-time · Permanent Overview We are building high-performance, scalable backend systems and are looking for a Backend Developer with strong Python and/or Go expertise. You will own core services, work in a modern cloud-native environment, and collaborate closely with product, data, and DevOps teams. Key responsibilities Design, build, and maintain scalable RESTful and gRPC APIs Write clean, well-tested, production-grade code in Python and/or Go Architect and maintain microservices deployed on AWS, GCP, or Azure Participate in code reviews, architectural discussions, and technical planning Work with PostgreSQL, Redis, and event-driven systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ) Implement CI/CD pipelines and contribute to DevOps practices Requirements 3 years of backend engineering experience Strong proficiency in Python (FastAPI, Django, or Flask) and/or Go Experience with PostgreSQL, MySQL, Redis, or MongoDB Solid understanding of RESTful API design and microservices architecture Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms Experience with message queues (Kafka, RabbitMQ) is a plus What we offer Equity / share options scheme 27 days annual leave bank holidays £1,500 annual learning & development budget Top-spec home office equipment provided Private health insurance · 5% employer pension · Async-first culture
