Were looking for compassionate and empathetic Healthcare Assistants to join our dedicated team delivering end-of-life care across Glasgow. As a Healthcare Assistant, youll work in pairs as well as on own at times, travelling to patients homes to provide hands-on personal and emotional support. No two homes are the same, and your sensitivity to each patients environment will be key.
Youll assist with personal care, medication, and sometimes meal preparationbringing comfort and dignity to those in their final days. This short-term, fast-paced service supports patients recently discharged from hospital or those nearing the end of life, including individuals with palliative need.
Youll collaborate closely with district nurses, social care teams (HSCP), and hospice staff, and may be assigned to support a single patient or on occasions where you will be asked to support other teams within the Hospice. Salary: Marie Curie Clinical Pay Scale Band 2 (£26,696 PRO RATA - £28,988 PRO RATA) plus enhancements for weekends and bank holidays please note the salary advertised is based on full time hours, this salary will be prorated based on the hours below we are offering.
Contract: Permanent Part time positions available (x1 33 hours per week) (x1 22.5 hours per week) shifts will include long and short days.
Based:at Marie Curie Glasgow Hospice, with travel required to support patients and services within the surrounding community of Glasgow City
