W&P Partners are proud to be working with a leading fire & life safety specialist who are looking to add a Senior Commissioning Engineer to their growing projects team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer with strong commissioning expertise who wants to take the next step in their career.
The Role
As Senior Commissioning Engineer, you'll be responsible for:
* Commissioning, testing, and programming fire alarm & life safety systems to BS5839 standards.
* Overseeing installation works and ensuring projects are handed over smoothly.
* Conducting site acceptance testing and producing full commissioning documentation.
* Acting as a technical escalation point for commissioning, supporting and mentoring junior engineers.
* Liaising with clients and project managers to ensure work is delivered on time, to spec, and to the highest quality.
What We're Looking For
* Proven commissioning experience within fire alarm & life safety systems.
* Strong technical knowledge of BS5839 and FIA standards (FIA Units 1, 5, or advanced highly desirable).
* Confident in fault finding, programming, and system configuration.
* Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
* Manufacturer experience with systems such as Gent, Advanced, Kentec, or similar would be a real advantage.
