Working closely with an inspirational and entrepreneurial Managing Director, you will play a central role in steering the company’s direction, leading high-performing teams, and transforming opportunity into measurable, sustainable growth in a dynamic and evolving sector. About the Role The business is seeking a dynamic Commercial Director to drive profitable business growth by developing and executing comprehensive commercial strategies, including market analysis, identifying new opportunities, fostering partnerships, and cultivating customer relationships. This role is both strategic and hands-on, balancing long-term business planning with the agility needed to deliver strong results in a fast moving industry. The perfect match will translate business goals into actionable sales and marketing plans, leading teams to boost revenue, market share, retention metrics, and customer acquisition through data-driven insights and entrepreneurial leadership. About your skills: Considerable proven experience in direct selling in complex, longer cycle B2B SaaS and shorter, more marketing-led B2C SaaS A strong network across Local Authorities, MATS, and Schools (US exposure a plus) A track record of developing successful GTM strategies in new markets and of building, leading, and incentivising a sales and marketing team Experience in developing and executing GTM strategies with a strong focus on B2C sales growth via e-commerce-driven selling. Demonstrable experience in driving cross-sell and upgrade strategies into a diverse EdTech customer base Implementation of sales processes and procedures to optimise teams for high impact, efficient selling. High energy, integrity, and the ability to build trust at all levels An entrepreneurial hunter mentality – build pipelines, close deals, thrive in ambiguity. Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills. Strong cross-functional stakeholder management and influencing skills; experienced in coordinating matrixed teams. Honours degree in Business, Marketing, or related field, or qualified by additional senior experience Success in the role includes: Delivering accelerated sales growth as a result of motivating, inspiring, coaching, and leading the sales and marketing teams Quickly executing and closing against an existing pipeline, optimising direct marketing and sales activity Client acquisition, retention, account renewal, cross-selling of new products, and expanding into new target territories. Using your extensive talents, existing network, and where you don’t have a network, relying on your skills and resources to identify, prioritise, and target new clients, closing sales across key markets (Europe, Australia, and British International Schools) Continue to build, coach, lead, and incentivise a high-performing team to deliver on our goals Implement successful GTM strategies across multiple markets involving a portfolio of products and services Actively contribute to the company's strategy and direction, serving as the voice of the customer internally. Performance & Incentives This role is target-driven with a combined incentive structure tied to achieving predefined Annual Recurring Revenue goals. The successful candidate will be motivated by measurable impact and performance-based rewards. Other performance metrics may include overall revenue growth, customer churn reduction, customer spend improvement, and cross selling.
