About the Role
Sibylline is looking for an insightful strategic Intelligence Analyst to join our team in an embedded role for our financial technology client. You will provide timely, actionable and relevant strategic analysis to the client.
As an Embedded Intelligence Analyst, you will detect, analyse, and advise on adverse conditions that could affect the safety, security and operational continuity of the client’s business. In particular, you will deliver physical security strategic analysis and protective intelligence.
This is a fully remote role based in the UK and working Monday to Friday, 9 am - 5 pm. There may be an occasional need to work weekends during emergencies and time-sensitive matters.
Responsibilities
* Plan, research, and create a range of analytical reports delivering actionable insight to internal clients, often independently and without explicit requests
* Own and develop key intelligence products, inclusive of the content and recipients
* Deliver on-call intelligence assessments tailored to client requirements, particularly in written form
* Ability to produce executive protection and threat intelligence deliverables
* Conduct fast-turnaround security investigations as needed
* Display creative and proactive thinking and consulting skills to deliver a continually improving service for the client
* Create innovative ways to produce and display intelligence analysis, tailored to the client
* Be an effective member of a small team, focused on the delivery of lean, high-impact services
* Effectively manage the client as the embedded representative of Sibylline’s team, ensuring that they are receiving consistently high standards of support
* Network and support the growth of the intelligence function within the client company.
Requirements
* Bachelor’s degree
* At least 3-5 years’ professional experience in an analytical function and demonstrable interest in political and commercial connections
* Excellent, fluent written English and verbal communication skills, with the ability to write coherently and with little need for editing
* Understanding of intelligence in world affairs, along with demonstrated capability to integrate global geopolitical, security, and operational awareness into clear, actionable insights
* In-depth knowledge and understanding of global politics, business environments and current events, with a particular focus on the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region
* Demonstrable experience in threat investigations and protective intelligence
* Sharp analytical skills: an ability to provide rigorous, creative insight into complex situations
* Ability to produce quality, finished intelligence and investigations products for short deadlines, including operational briefs and long-term strategic assessments
* Ability to manipulate and visualise data, including the innovative use of infographics
* A thorough appreciation of how security issues can affect major companies
* Excellent research and investigative skills, and ability to rapidly digest, evaluate and “sift” large quantities of information
* Able to work proactively and with little oversight in both individual and team environments
* Analytical flair: an ability to provide rigorous, creative insight into complex situations
* Ability to multitask in a fast-paced working environment and deliver timely work products in a fast-paced working environment
* Strong personal initiative, with the ability to take ownership of tasks and deliver solutions under minimal guidance
* Excellent attention to detail
* High level of competency with MS Office tools
* Existing authorisation to live and work in the UK.
Nice to have
* Advanced degree (Master’s)
* Cross-functional experience within a global security team (e.g. threat monitoring, travel security, business continuity and crisis management)
* Consulting experience.
