Required Skills:
* HNC, HND, or higher in Electrical, Electronic, or Control Engineering (or equivalent industry experience)
* Minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience working with ICA and telemetry systems
* Hands-on experience configuring, testing, and maintaining RTUs, SCADA systems, and industrial communication protocols (Modbus, DNP3, IEC, Ethernet)
* Strong troubleshooting skills for PLCs and fault diagnosis
* Solid understanding of SCADA fundamentals and network basics
* Ability to produce clear and accurate technical reports and site surveys
* Good knowledge of health and safety procedures, permits, and risk assessments
* Competent in IT systems, basic networking, and cybersecurity considerations
* Full UK driving license and right to work in the UK and Ireland
Nice to Have Skills:
* Familiarity with UK water industry standards (WIMES)
* Electrical qualifications such as BS 7671 (18th Edition Wiring Regulations) or ECS/JIB Gold Card
* Experience with instrumentation calibration and commissioning
* Knowledge of advanced networking concepts like VPNs and firewalls
* Additional technical documentation and report-writing expertise
* EUSR Water Hygiene Certificate or Thames Water Passport
Preferred Education and Experience:
A minimum of 5 years’ experience in ICA or related systems, with proven hands-on skills in installation, troubleshooting, and configuration. Relevant qualifications or certifications are highly desirable.
