Job Description
We are seeking a Maintenance Engineer to deliver high‑quality building services maintenance across a specialist site environment. This role focuses on mechanical systems while supporting electrical and fabric works, ensuring safe, compliant and reliable operation of facilities.
Key Responsibilities
* Carry out planned preventative and reactive maintenance on mechanical systems
* Diagnose faults and complete repairs using drawings and manuals
* Support electrical and fabric maintenance tasks where required
* Complete inspections, testing and calibration of equipment
* Ensure compliance with health and safety procedures at all times
* Maintain accurate records and complete work documentation
* Manage materials, tools and maintenance costs effectively
* Liaise with clients, managers and site teams professionally
* Oversee contractors and issue permits to work when required
Professional and Personal Competencies / Qualifications
* Mechanical engineering qualification such as NVQ or City & Guilds
* Experience in building services or facilities maintenance environments
* Ability to complete PPM and reactive maintenance tasks
* Strong fault‑finding and problem‑solving skills
* Knowledge of health and safety procedures and safe systems of work
* Clear communication with colleagues and clients
* Ability to manage workload and prioritise tasks
* Full UK driving licence
* Willingness to support on‑call duties when required
