Overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated Ophthalmology Health Records Clerk to join our team within Singleton Hospital. The post is permanent, full time, and based at Swansea Bay University Health Board. Working hours are Monday to Friday between 8:30 am and 5:30 pm.
The Ophthalmology medical records clerk will be responsible for organising and prepping all clinical notes for the ophthalmology service running from Singleton hospital. The role also acts as an administration assistant for the department, providing administration services including the production of documents, updating of systems, collating information, mail distribution, filing, typing, booking venues, etc.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply. This employer is inclusive and welcomes applications from everyone.
Responsibilities
* Organise and prep clinical notes for the ophthalmology service.
* Provide administration services including document production, system updates, information collation, mail distribution, filing, typing, and booking venues.
* Maintain effective communication within the department and with stakeholders.
Qualifications and Skills
* Experience in clerical/administrative roles.
* Good communication skills and a positive approach to service needs.
* Motivated and able to work as part of a busy, friendly team.
* Welsh language ability is desirable (English and/or Welsh speakers welcome).
