Education Payroll Solutions Specialist Sheffield | Full-time, Permanent | Hybrid (3 days in the office, 2 days WFH) We're on a mission to support schools and teachers with innovative, reliable solutions – and we’re looking for a skilled Education Payroll Solutions Specialist to join our Customer Operations team in Sheffield. This isn’t a typical processing role While payroll experience is essential, this position is not a standard back-office processing job. Instead, it's a customer-facing, consultative role focused on supporting schools and education trusts with best-practice payroll guidance, resolving complex queries, and building strong, trusted relationships. You’ll be a key point of contact for our school customers, helping them navigate technical payroll issues while ensuring they get the best possible experience from our platform and service. In addition to client work, you’ll also play an important internal role by coaching and mentoring team members, supporting their development and helping to embed best practices across the team. What You’ll Be Doing As part of our dynamic payroll support team, you’ll: ✅ Respond to payroll queries across multiple channels with professionalism and accuracy ✅ Handle complex queries related to tax, pensions, NI, statutory leave, and deductions ✅ Support year-end processes (P60s, P11Ds), and validate Year-To-Date data ✅ Be a go-to technical expert on payroll and statutory requirements in the education sector ✅ Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to deliver seamless support ✅ Coach colleagues and contribute to continuous improvement in service delivery ✅ Drive excellence in customer experience, aligned with KPIs and payroll compliance What You’ll Need to Succeed: 3 years’ payroll experience (education sector a bonus!)
