About the Role
Jacobs is seeking a technical specialist to support our Energy Advisory team on water sector projects. You will bring design and operational experience to energy efficiency and decarbonisation initiatives for pump stations, water treatment and recovery plants.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead technical delivery and ensure quality data outputs as project reviewer.
* Engage stakeholders at all levels.
* Maintain knowledge of energy/carbon policy, markets and sustainability issues.
* Provide energy inputs throughout engineering design life‑cycle.
* Conduct energy technology options, efficiency appraisals and life‑cycle cost analyses.
* Manage energy audits, demand modelling and develop low‑carbon solutions.
* Mentor and train colleagues in water and energy sector topics.
Qualifications & Experience
* Engineering degree focusing on energy (Chemical, Mechanical or equivalent process degree).
* Water sector experience in design and/or operation.
* Site‑based work on municipal systems and consultancy experience.
* Strong project management and programme development skills.
* Knowledge of current and anticipated environmental, carbon and energy policy.
* Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to produce clear, evidence‑based advice in reports and presentations.
* Capable of delivering standard engineering deliverables such as heat and mass balances.
