Overview
We are seeking a talented and passionate Sous Chef to join our dynamic kitchen team. The ideal candidate will possess strong culinary skills and experience in food production, along with the ability to lead and manage a team effectively. As a Sous Chef, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the kitchen, maintaining high standards of food quality and safety, and contributing to an exceptional dining experience for our guests.
Duties
* Assist the Head Chef in overseeing daily kitchen operations and food preparation.
* Supervise and train kitchen staff to ensure efficient workflow and adherence to recipes and presentation standards.
* Prepare and cook high-quality dishes while maintaining consistency in taste and presentation.
* Manage inventory, including ordering supplies, monitoring stock levels, and minimising waste.
* Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness in the kitchen at all times.
* Collaborate with the culinary team to develop new menu items and seasonal offerings.
* Assist in managing kitchen schedules and staff assignments to optimise productivity.
* Provide exceptional hospitality by ensuring that all dishes are served promptly and meet guest expectations.
Qualifications
* Proven experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar role within a restaurant environment.
* Strong culinary skills with a solid understanding of food preparation techniques.
* Supervising experience with the ability to lead, motivate, and manage a diverse team effectively.
* Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in kitchen hygiene.
* Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
* A passion for cooking and creativity in developing new dishes.
* Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with both front-of-house staff and management.

Pay: £14.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 45 per week
