An exciting opportunity has opened within the Supply Chain operations organisation for the position Supply Chain Logistics Officer. This is a perfect opportunity to work on a dynamic network between the Final Assembly Lines and the Procurement world.
The successful candidate will be able to take advantage of the latest hybrid working benefits, sharing time between remote working and office-based activities at the client’s facility in Flintshire, Wales (minimum 3 days on site).
The successful candidate will drive supplier performance across the end-to-end supply chain in a fast-moving, digital environment. This role manages a portfolio of suppliers in support of all Wing Programmes. The end client has a global supply chain.
Standard rate(s): £29 per hour Umbrella or £21.91 per hour PAYE, with overtime (over 35 hours) paid at a premium rate (25% Mon-Fri and 50% Sat-Sun).
Responsibilities:
1. Daily management of the supplier portfolio using existing business tools and future digitalization means.
2. Anticipation of risks and drive mitigation actions.
3. Demand and forecast control.
4. Effective communication with internal customers, team colleagues, and external suppliers.
5. Supply chain prioritisation.
6. Challenge supplier performance where appropriate.
7. Lead & drive supplier recoveries.
8. Understand and define the optimal ordering characteristics and strategy.
9. Specify and use process automation.
10. Use data management tools to drive decisions in the supply chain.
11. Order Book Management and maintaining MRP Master Data.
12. Coordinate Supplier Working Parties.
13. Interact transnationally with suppliers (remotely and/or on-site) and proactively operate as a partner to the Supply Chain Quality Manager and Commercial Buyer.
14. Be the first point of contact for supply chain queries from operations.
15. Own and optimise procured goods stock.
16. Create the future: Support supply chain and logistics transformation projects.
Skills and Experience:
1. Solid experience, ideally in procurement, supply chain, logistics, manufacturing engineering, or design engineering.
2. MRP expertise and experience with SAP in a manufacturing environment.
3. Experience in the use and deployment of digital solutions/tools.
4. Experience of transnational working.
5. Expertise in problem solving.
6. Good teamwork ethic.
7. Project management and LEAN experience.
8. Ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the business.
9. Willingness to travel and flexibility.
10. Google Suite experience is desirable.
