Job Overview
University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust is delighted to offer a fantastic opportunity to work with us. Southampton Children’s Hospital is looking for highly motivated, dedicated registered nurses with a minimum of 1 year qualifying experience to join our friendly, supportive nursing team on E1 Ocean Ward, a highly specialised regional paediatric cardiac ward.
E1 is a 16‑bedded regional cardiac unit with 6 high‑dependency cardiac beds. The ward cares for children from birth to 18 and supports their families/carers with a range of cardiac medical conditions and those requiring cardiac surgery. E1 accepts tertiary referrals from across the Thames and Wessex network. The ward has an excellent educational team and a full educational programme to develop your clinical experience and obtain specific cardiac skills.
We are looking for enthusiastic nurses who can be flexible with shift patterns to suit you and work the full range of shifts within a 24‑hour shift pattern. Previous experience as a qualified nurse in a paediatric environment is desired but not essential.
