Hours: Part time – 90.63% FTE (5 days)

We are looking for an inspiring and well-qualified Teacher of Modern Foreign Languages to join a thriving and successful department.

The Opportunity

This role will primarily involve teaching French to A Level, with the opportunity to teach Spanish at KS3. Candidates who can also teach German or Latin would be especially welcome.

Our curriculum offers languages from KS3 to A Level, including French (from KS1), German, Latin, Spanish (from KS3), and Classical Civilisation at KS5, providing a rich and varied environment for both teachers and students.

The successful candidate will have the chance to shape and enhance the MFL curriculum, bringing creativity and passion to their teaching. You will play a vital role in promoting language learning across the school, supporting cultural trips and visits, assisting with university preparation, and contributing to the school’s vibrant extracurricular life.

About You

We are seeking a well-qualified graduate with excellent subject knowledge and a genuine passion for Modern Languages. You will have a strong understanding of the curriculum, be committed to ongoing professional development, and demonstrate efficiency, organisation, and creativity.

The ideal candidate will be an excellent communicator who can enthuse and inspire both pupils and colleagues and will have exciting ideas about MFL teaching and the ways in which languages can be further developed and encouraged across the whole school and within the GDST.
