Job Description
We have a senior leadership opportunity within our C&P business, leading the electrical and certification businesses in the UK across all related services with overall P&L budget responsibility for all departments within the remit. Working closely with the Department Managers to ensure operational KPI’s are executed in line with business requirements, the successful individual will be responsible for proposing and delivering strategic business plans to drive change within the electrical and certification sectors to ensure continued P&L growth and continuous improvement within the operations.
Key responsibilities:
* Collaborate with the global E&E and certification network and the UK C&P business team to promote local and international services to grow UK accounts
* Manage and structure the teams to maximise utilisation of skills and personnel resources to achieve an overall high level of business efficiency, productivity and accountability
* Monitor safety performance and associated administration to ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental legislation / customer requirements by carrying out site safety improvements as identified by safety audit findings
* Maintain ongoing ISO17025 accreditations to the satisfaction of UKAS to demonstrate to customers a high level of capability. Maintain / develop ISO 9001:2000 as required by SGS in the UK to meet overall group accreditation
* Identify and develop new business opportunities to enable the ongoing long term growth and profitability of the business
Qualifications
The ideal candidate for this role will posses a working knowledge and significant experience working in electrical testing and certification, will be an effective leader with a strong commercial acumen, who has the capability to drive change. In addition, you will also have the following:
* Ability to manage a business, its' people, understand financial measures and performance drivers
* Experience of business development and customer (B2B) relationship / operational management
* Degree or equivalent in electronics / electrical engineering or related subject
* Have an effective working knowledge of ISO 9001:2000 / ISO17025 and or other similar recognised management system Have an effective working knowledge of ISO 9001:2000 / ISO17025 and / or other similar recognised management systems
This is a site based role, with responsibility of managing our Buxton and new Manchester sites.
