Accounts Assistant (Part time)
Rochester, Kent | 8.30-4.30 or 8-4 for 4 days a week
Permanent | £30,-£35,| 25 days annual leave + Bank holidays, Staff events with overnight stays, annual bonus, annual salary review, your own air conditioned office which has been recently refurbished to a high standard
My client, a well-established and respected engineering business, is looking for a detail-driven Sage Accounts Assistant to join their team on a part-time basis. This is a key role supporting accurate job costing and financial processing, working closely with senior managers in a collaborative and professional environment.
What You'll Be Doing
1. Reviewing and maintaining job records in Sage
2. Processing purchase orders, delivery notes, and supplier invoices
3. Managing petty cash, staff expenses, and company credit cards
4. Reconciling month-end figures and preparing BACS payments
5. Posting payroll journals and providing occasional payroll cover
6. Ensuring accurate customer invoicing and overhead processing
What You'll Bring
7. Proven experience using Sage (essential)
8. A methodical, organised approach with strong attention to detail
9. Confidence working independently and liaising with internal teams
10. Previous experience in a finance or accounts support role
