Key ResponsibilitiesBusiness Partnering & Strategic Input
1. Contribute to senior leadership discussions, offering clear and pragmatic financial guidance
2. Challenge and support decision-making to improvemercial oues
3. Help shape financial direction aligned to thepany’s growth plans
Financialernance &pliance
4. Maintain robust financial controls and ensure regulatorypliance
5. Oversee tax, VAT, CIS, and payroll-related obligations
6. Manage external relationships including auditors, advisors, and banking partners
Planning, Reporting & Performance
7. Lead budgeting cycles, forecasts, and longer-term planning
8. Deliver timely management accounts with insightful analysis
9. Turn financial data into actionable insight to support operational performance
Cash & Risk Management
10. Take ownership of cash flow forecasting and working capital management
11. Identify and mitigate financial risks across the business
12. Explore funding opportunities, grants, and industry-related schemes
Systems & Operational Oversight
13. Take responsibility for finance systems, driving efficiency and improvements
14. Provide oversight of payroll activities and associatedpliance
15. Manage relationships with IT providers to ensure system effectiveness
Team Leadership & Development
16. Lead, motivate, and develop the finance team
17. Foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement
18. Build strong cross-functional relationships across the organisation
About YouYou’ll be an experienced finance leader who enjoys balancing strategic thinking with a hands-on approach:
19. Fully qualified (ACCA, ACA or CIMA)
20. Background within construction or a project-based environment
21. Strong knowledge of CIS and subcontractor payments
22. Track record of producing high-quality financial reporting
23. Systems-savvy, with experience of finance platforms ( Sage)
24. Self-sufficient and confident taking ownership of the finance function
