The Role This is an exciting senior-level opportunity for an experienced Senior Production Engineer with a strong CNC manufacturing background. You will lead strategic projects to: * Optimise manufacturing processes for efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness * Enhance product quality and ensure smooth, seamless production operations * Drive continuous improvement across manufacturing, design, and quality teams Key Responsibilities: * Process Optimisation – Analyse, refine, and audit manufacturing processes * Equipment & Tooling – Manage tooling, gauges, fixtures, and machinery * New Product Introduction (NPI) – Work with design teams to create efficient production processes * Quality Control – Ensure compliance with industry and customer standards * Problem Solving – Resolve bottlenecks, defects, and equipment issues * Lean & Continuous Improvement – Apply Lean, Six Sigma, and other methodologies * Health & Safety – Maintain a safe working environment and regulatory compliance * Cost Reduction – Identify savings without compromising standards * Collaboration – Work closely with engineering, R&D, and supply chain teams The Candidate You are a solutions-focused engineer with strong technical expertise, confident in leading improvement projects. Requirements: * Qualifications in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, or Production Engineering (or equivalent) * 5 years’ experience in manufacturing or production engineering * In-depth knowledge of CNC machining, reaming, honing, wire eroding, grinding * Familiarity with surface treatments, testing/NDT, forming, moulding, fabrication, and automation * CAD/CAM skills (SolidWorks, AutoCAD) * Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, ERP/MRP systems, and quality standards (ISO 9001, AS9100) * Proven track record in process optimisation and cost-reduction projects The Package * Up to £48k salary (dependent on experience) * Bonus * 4-day working week (Monday–Thursday, 36 hours)
