Elevation Recruitment are supporting a market leading chemical manufacturer in their search for a Production Manager to join their facility in West Yorkshire. This is fantastic opportunity for a skilled professional with a strong background in industrial chemical processes and production management. You’ll play a key role in ensuring goods are produced efficiently, on time, within budget, and to exacting quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities of the Production Manager include:
* Plan, organise, and control daily production schedules
* Determine staffing and material requirements to meet production targets
* Oversee equipment usage, maintenance, and procurement recommendations
* Develop and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs)
* Uphold and ensure compliance with health, safety, and quality standards
* Monitor product quality and lead continuous process improvements
* Prepare and maintain detailed production reports and KPIs
* Manage production budgets and implement cost control measures
* Collaborate cross-functionally with procurement, distribution, and other departments
* Lead and support team development through performance reviews and feedback
* Assist in audits, investigations, and support management systems as required
We’re looking for Production Managers with the below skills & experience:
* Previous experience in industrial chemical manufacturing
* Strong background in leading production teams
* Proven knowledge of manufacturing and production techniques
* Familiarity with chemical engineering principles and equipment/tools
* Attention to detail and process optimisation
* Sound understanding of health & safety compliance standards
* Strong computer literacy
* Critical thinking and problem-solving
* Strong communication and influencing skills
