A respected not-for-profit organisation based in Manchester City Centre is seeking a hands on Accountant to join their finance team on a temporary basis, working part time ( This organisation plays a vital role in supporting public safety and education initiatives across the UK.
Your new role
As Accountant, you will play a key role in supporting the finance team,ensuring the smooth and accurate operation of day-to-day financial processes. You will be responsible for:
1. Supporting on preparing monthly management accounts and balance sheet reconciliations
2. Assisting with bank reconciliations and payroll support
3. Supporting accounts payable and receivable functions
4. Assisting in the preparation of financial reports and budget forecasts
5. Ensuring compliance with financial policies and audit requirements
6. Providing administrative support and liaising with internal departments on invoice queries
What you’ll need to succeed
You will have:
7. Experience as a accountant or in a similar role
8. Experience with putting together monthly management accounts
9. Experiencepleting balance sheet reconciliations
10. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications
11. Experience working with Sage or Xero
12. High attention to detail
13. Excellent communication and time management skills
14. Professional certification (, AAT, CIMA, ACCA) – desirable
