Job Title: Recruitment Consultant
Location: Lisburn
Hours: hours per week (reasonable flexibility required)
Salary: £25,000 | OTE £35,000-£40,000

We're looking for a proactive and dedicated Recruitment Consultant to join our team in Lisburn. This role plays a pivotal part in developing and delivering comprehensive recruitment services, ensuring exceptional client satisfaction and driving profitability.
Job Summary
You'll be responsible for understanding and matching the needs of both clients and candidates, delivering a quality, tailored recruitment service while consistently meeting targets.
Main Responsibilities
Sales Activity & Business Development
1. Generate new business opportunities
2. Achieve sales and gross profit targets in line with KPIs
3. Conduct client visits-both new and existing-and follow up on business leads
4. Support the creation of proposals and tenders; negotiate fees within company policy and approvals
5. Proactively source candidates across relevant channels
Client Management
6. Manage client relationships, identify their needs, and provide ongoing service feedback
7. Oversee vacancy management and support with site coordination
8. Gather and maintain detailed client information ( headcount, structure, attrition)
9. Identify cross-selling opportunities and promote services across divisions
10. Accurately maintain recruitment system records
11. Network internally and externally to support client engagement
12. Provide benchmarking data ( salary, candidate pool, market activity)
13. Offer on-call support when needed
14. Produce client reports and satisfaction surveys, presenting insights and recommendations
15. Build a complete client profile through calls, visits, and networking (including org charts and strategic goals)
Candidate Management
16. Talent pool and source candidates
17. Pre-screen and register candidates in line with weekly KPIs
18. Prepare candidates ahead of interviews
19. Conduct skills testing and provide candidate insight on client culture, structure, and progression
20. Deliver constructive feedback and interview results
21. Negotiate offers, notice periods, and employment terms
22. Advise on pay rates, training opportunities, and career progression
23. Manage temp availability to meet client needs (where applicable)
24. Submit speculative CVs, search and shortlist, and ensure candidate quality matches client expectations
25. Provide clear, detailed job and client information to all candidates
Quality & Compliance
26. Follow key processes and the Quality Management System (QMS)
27. Maintain high standards across all written and verbal communication
28. Complete candidate vetting: ID, NI checks, qualifications, bank details, reference checks, timesheet/payroll queries, and invoicing
29. Maintain accurate CRM records and ensure effective use of the system
30. Support the Branch Manager in recruitment, induction, coaching, and development; deputise when required
31. Mentor branch and cross-branch staff, acting as a point of expertise
32. Ensure personal PDP is managed and updated
33. Keep records in line with all relevant legislation
34. Perform any additional duties as required
Criteria
Essential:
35. Minimum 1 year of recruitment consultancy experience (within the last 5 years), or
36. 2 years of direct B2B sales experience (within the last 5 years) in a target-driven role involving client acquisition and retention
37. Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Microsoft Word and Outlook
38. 5 GCSEs (Grades A-C or equivalent), including English and Maths
