This is a 2-day per week role starting 20th October 2025, with hours 08:30-16:00 on Monday to Friday (flexible start/finish times). The post is in the GDM department at Ross High School, Tranent, East Lothian. The school serves pupils with a range of needs and works with partners within the community.
Vacancy Information
* Salary: £17.72 - £19.19 per hour (full-time 35 hours per week; part-time pro-rated).
* Hours: 35 hours per week for a full-time role; this post is 2 days per week during school term time plus 3 additional weeks during school holidays.

Job Details
* To support teaching staff, with a focus on the work of the CDT department, and provide support/technical assistance in Art, Drama and, by agreement, other areas of the school.
* Ensure equipment is maintained and supplies of materials, tools and equipment are available for teaching staff and pupils.
* Assist teaching staff in demonstrating the use of equipment and in preparation and support of teaching areas and workshops.
Qualifications and Requirements
* Relevant Qualifications: A recognised craft apprenticeship, City and Guilds Certificate Level 3, Higher National Certificate or equivalent.
* PVG Membership: This post is a Regulated Role with vulnerable children and/or protected adults (Disclosure Scotland Act 2020).
* All preferred candidates for posts carrying out regulated work with these groups will be required to become a PVG Scheme member, or update if already a member, prior to any formal offer of employment.
* If you have spent more than 3 months working or living outside the UK in the last 5 years, you must present a copy of an overseas criminal record check (details via GOV.UK).
