Full-time onsite (you must be able to work 37 hours per week)
Internship dates are from Monday 22 June to Friday 31 July 2026
You will receive Approx. £3,024 (before deductions) in total for the 6-week programme.

If you are passionate about hydrology and environmental science, the Hydro-JULES Intern Programme is the perfect opportunity to gain hands-on experience and collaborate with our team of Hydro-JULES scientists.

Ready to Apply? We need three things from you:
1. A letter of support from your supervisor, tutor, director of studies, or equivalent, confirming their approval for you to undertake the proposed summer internship .

To be eligible you will:
4. Be able to work 37 hours per week, for the duration of the 6-week programme in Wallingford
5. Be in in undergraduate or postgraduate (including PhD) education at university and returning to university following the placement
6. Hold the legal right to work in the UK throughout the placement duration. Unfortunately, we are unable to offer visa sponsorship for this role, and this does not qualify for endorsement to support a Global Talent Visa application.
7. Studying a relevant degree
8. Be comfortable working independently withstrong communicationand interpersonal skills
9. Act asa strong teamplayer, comfortable both giving and receiving feedback openly
10. Successful applicantsare responsible forfinding and for covering accommodation and living costs for the duration of the internship.

You will carry out work for UKCEH under a contract of services agreement via Hays PLC (Company Number 02150950). You will be paid weekly by Hays PLC bysubmittinga timesheet to your UKCEH Line Manager.
