Senior Project Manager – Client Side (Commercial Projects)
Hybrid: Barbican Office / Project Sites / Home
Up to £75,000 + 21% Employer Pension + 28 Days Leave
We’re recruiting on behalf of the City of London Corporation for a talented Senior Project Manager to lead a diverse portfolio of new-build commercial office developments, high-value refurbishments, and fit-out projects across the City’s unique central London estate.
This is a rare client-side opportunity to play a key role in delivering modern, sustainable, and complex capital schemes within one of the world’s most historic and economically important districts – the Square Mile.
The Role:
* Lead commercial new build, fit-out, and refurbishment projects from conceptual stages through to completion
* Manage procurement, design development, contract administration (JCT), and site delivery
* Oversee external consultants and contractors, ensuring quality, safety, cost, and programme targets are met
* Work across a varied portfolio including listed buildings, civic spaces, and modern commercial properties
* Collaborate with a team of in-house Project Managers and Assistants
What We’re Looking For:
* Degree-qualified in a construction-related discipline ie Construction Management, Building Surveying, Quantity Surveying
* Experience working for an Estates Teams OR a Construction Project Management Consultancy is essential
* Strong experience delivering commercial office projects – new build and/or refurbishment
* Solid knowledge of JCT contracts and contract administration
* Excellent stakeholder management and project leadership skills
* Strong commercial acumen & experience managing Project Budgets .
