We have an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated, enthusiastic Band 2 Theatre Support Worker to join our efficient and friendly operating theatre team at the Ysbyty Ystrad Fawr Hospital. The successful applicant must have excellent communication skills and a proven track record of being reliable and dependable. A flexible approach to work would be a great advantage and we are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual. The ability to speak Welsh is desirable; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome. Main duties of the job
You must have worked in a hospital or care setting previously, but no theatre experience necessary as full training will be given. However, your personal attributes must be those of a hardworking, conscientious and caring individual able to meet the physical demands of this post. You must have a flexible approach to working hours and duties, be able to take instruction from others and be able to use your own initiative when required to do so.

* No previous experience required however, you must be able to demonstrate knowledge of the role in your application

* Knowledge of the role of the Theatre Assistant / Health Care Support Worker in Theatres
Qualifications
* Ability to undertake a period of induction and on the job training to include theoretical knowledge of care and a range of work-related procedures, for example completion of a competency-based workload equivalent to a Level 2 vocational qualification
