Join a vibrant organic caf?? & deli. My client is seeking a passionate and experienced Kitchen Manager to lead their kitchen operations. This role is perfect for someone who combines culinary skill with organisational management and holds strong community values.
Day-to-day of the role:
* Collaborate with the owners to create seasonal menus that highlight their farm-grown meat and vegetables.
* Take ownership of caf??, deli, and event stock ordering and rotation.
* Accurately cost dishes to maintain sustainability and affordability.
* Train, support, and supervise a diverse team, including adults with varying support needs.
* Manage rotas to ensure smooth kitchen operation.
* Monitor and minimise food waste across all areas.
* Ensure the deli is well-stocked with fresh, appealing produce.
* Plan and deliver catering support for seasonal and community events.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
* Previous kitchen leadership experience (Head Chef or Kitchen Manager level).
* Strong knowledge of seasonal and sustainable food practices.
* Organised, calm under pressure, and a natural problem solver.
* Experience working with or supporting people with additional needs is a plus.
* A warm communicator who thrives in a team-focused, community-minded environment.
