Property Risk is a vital part of the Risk Community, working closely with Chartered Surveyors and Solicitors, dealing with property and legal queries. We are looking for an individual with conveyancing or property valuation experience to ensure that they are within our risk appetite. You will need to support and coach colleagues as well as uphold exemplary customer service standards. Nationwide offers hybrid working where possible. You will spend at least two days per week, or 40% of your working time if part time, based at our Swindon, Bournemouth or Northampton sites. Overview
You will use your communication and analytical skills to liaise with our in-house Chartered Surveyors and valuation suppliers to deal with various legal and property related matters that could impact the value or suitability of a security, ensuring the best outcomes for our customers and for society. You will resolve queries from third parties including conveyancers to ensure the best possible customer experience. You will coach and support colleagues in your team and across the wider business, using our policy and your industry knowledge. You should communicate clearly your reasoning and decision-making process for all cases. A proactive attitude is desired, with initiative to produce solutions and the ability to work as part of a team to resolve complex matters. The team works closely together, both in the office and over Teams, sharing knowledge, skills, and resources. You will receive comprehensive training and learn about property, the systems, and the processes we use to protect our customers and society. Responsibilities
* Analyse and interpret data related to property risk and conveyancing or valuation matters to ensure alignment with risk appetite
* Liaise with in-house Chartered Surveyors and valuation suppliers on legal and property-related matters affecting security value or suitability
* Resolve queries from third parties, including conveyancers, to deliver a positive customer experience
* Coach and support colleagues within your team and across the business
* Communicate your reasoning and decision-making clearly for all cases
* Use initiative to develop solutions and contribute to team problem solving
Qualifications
* Property valuations, underwriting or legal experience
* Ability to investigate, identify and assess risks and apply policy
* Strong analytical skills to drive change and efficiencies within Risk
* Confident in articulating information verbally and in writing to multiple stakeholders
* Self-motivated with the ability to work on own initiative while maintaining accuracy and customer service
* Innovative mindset with awareness of market changes
