The Job Summary: Wrightbus is the fastest growing production company in Europe, and we are looking for a Technical Support Specialist. This individual will Act as the subject matter expert for complex technical issues, providing advanced support to customers and field engineers, in the form of product familiarisation, parts information, specification queries and general remote vehicle assistance. The Role: Handle escalated technical queries requiring advanced diagnostic and engineering knowledge. Analyse and interpret complex CAD models and engineering documentation Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to resolve aftermarket technical issues Develop and maintain technical knowledge database and records Mentor Technical Support Engineers and assist in their development Respond to technical queries from customers and field engineers by telephone and email promptly and professionally Interpret engineering drawings, 3D CAD models, and bills of materials to provide accurate information. Ensure all technical related queries are handled daily Complete parts assembly breakdowns, to ensure all required parts have individual part numbers. Produce, issue, control and keep records of all service part information as required. Liaise with suppliers for technical documentation and escalate complex issues where necessary. Assist with service/parts enquiries related to new bus tenders and contracts. Maintain accurate records of technical support interactions. The Requirements HNC/HND or Degree in Automotive Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline Or Min 7 years relevant experience in a manufacturing/technical support role Experience in providing guidance on product changes and technical bulletins. Experience in delivering technical system information to customers/stakeholders Experience in handling technical queries by phone and email Strong understanding of parts assemblies Strong understanding of vehicle design principles and manufacturing processes. Experience / understanding of system classification, parts listings and BOMs Ability to read and interpret technical engineering drawings Knowledge of and ability to fault find and repair components and systems Ability to keep accurate records and organised document storage Advanced proficiency in CAD software (e.g., CATIA, SolidWorks).
