Working hours: 37 Hours Contract Type: Permanent/Full Time Location: Ty Penallta This is an exciting opportunity to join Team Caerphilly and provide support across the wider Public Protection Team. We pay an attractive salary of £49,764 - £52,805 and offer access to training and development opportunities. We are looking for a motivated and experienced Environmental Health Officer to lead the very busy Pollution Control and Emergency Planning & Resilience teams within Environmental Health. The successful applicant will be responsible for the management of the teams in the delivery of their statutory functions and any associated project work. Areas of work include; environmental permitting, contaminated land, air quality, incident management, business continuity management, responding to licensing and planning applications and the preparation of emergency plans. For the role, we ask that you have: Qualification as an Environmental Health Officer and registered with the Environmental Health Officers Registration Board. Knowledge of the work undertaken by the Emergency Planning and Resilience Team or required to acquire following appointment The ability to direct and bring projects plans and work programmes to a successful conclusion, within a prescribed budget and/or timescale. A Full UK Category B (Cars) driving licence and the use of a motor vehicle insured for business / work purposes to travel throughout the county borough and transport relevant equipment.
