Project Officer: 37.5hr - fixed term to 31/05/26

An exciting opportunity exists within our Digital Programmes team, liaising with our health partners, including acute hospitals, community services and GP practices. The Project Officer will be a key member of the team driving a transformational IT modernisation programme.
Main Duties
Assist programme and project managers on one or more digital programmes/projects. Assistance includes:
* Support the development and maintenance of project documents and data collection systems
* Gather, interpret and present information
* Help introduce user‑led design to projects
* Work with user groups
* Provide project coordination
* Administration of project / programme meetings
* Providing support to users
Qualifications
Essential:
* Educated to Diploma level or equivalent, or able to demonstrate an equivalent level of knowledge
* Basic understanding of formal project management methodologies and tools
* Principles of Risk & issue management
* Principles of Budgeting
* Principles of Benefits Management
* Principles of planning and resource management
* Experience of working as part of a multi‑disciplinary team
* Experience of delivering tasks to quality, time and budget requirements
* Options appraisal
* Preparation and maintenance of schedules for activities and events for a change initiative, taking into account dependencies and resource requirements
* Obtaining estimates for the cost of activities, events and overheads
* Developing internal documents and contributing to policies
* Ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines
* Ability to travel independently across West North and East Cumbria on a regular basis and occasionally nationally
