Due to increased demand within the department, our client now has a requirement for a Brake Press Operator on a 12 week Temporary to Permanent basis. Our work environment includes: • Modern office setting • Steel fabrication and metal-working • Final assembly spaces and workshops • Growth opportunities Your main purpose is: All set-ups and production runs, ensuring safety, accuracy and timelines of all jobs, machines and equipment in the folding area. Responsibilities: • The role will be to set and operate a Brake Press (Amada) to produce parts to technical drawings and instructions. • Verify accuracy of machine settings to confirm accurate tolerances and machine functions. • Maintain cleanliness of the machine. • Completes all required safety procedures prior to and during operations. • Skilled in organizing work area before and after parts are processed. Essential: • Minimum 1 year experience setting and operating Amada Brake Press. • Minimum 1 year experience of forming various sizes & thickness of blanks. • Ability to measure each job using Vernier’s. • Ability to load and unload material. • Good written and verbal communication skills. • Ability to work as part of a team. &b...
