Summary

We are looking for a skilled Facilities Building Coordinator to oversee our two centers, located in Portsmouth and Exeter. In this role you will report to the Executive Director and oversee the maintenance of building systems, respond to and complete staff maintenance requests, manage vendors and subcontractors, maintain facilities inventory, as well as the grounds in all seasons.

Reliability with a keen eye for detail is vital in this role. The ideal candidate will have facilities/maintenance experience and preferably technical knowledge in at least one trade. With two properties, organization and time management are key as well as planning for each project regarding supplies and labor needs.

The qualified candidate will work well independently as the sole maintenance employee, and as a part of a team, serving in a customer service capacity regarding staff requests.

Duties


* Oversee the day-to-day operations and maintenance of building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire safety, and security.
* Assist with development and management of the facilities annual budget.
* Perform or schedule preventative maintenance on facility systems and track appropriately.
* Respond promptly to staff maintenance requests and perform minor fixes and tasks such as repairing broken fixtures, replacing light bulbs, painting, repairing walls, and ceiling tiles, etc.
* Manage vendors, facilitate quotes from contractors, schedule projects, and ensure timely completion.
* Complete outdoor upkeep by mowing, weed whacking, pressure washing, managing storage areas, etc.
* Serve on Safety Committee, ensuring appropriate safety procedures and protocols are in place.



Requirements


* 3-5 years proven experience as Facilities Building Coordinator or other similar independent position
* Must be available during an emergency
* Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems
* Experience using hand and electrical tools, power equipment
* Ability to read technical manuals and drawings
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Physical stamina and dexterity with the ability to lift objects of varying weights, up to 50 lbs., climb stairs regularly and ladders occasionally
* High school diploma or equivalent
* Must complete state and federal background check
* Must possess a valid driver's license in good standing
* Must provide your own vehicle and confirm sufficient auto insurance coverage.

Hours may vary on a seasonal basis with an anticipated average of 30-40 hours/week.
