We are looking for experienced midwives to join our community midwifery service, on an initial secondment basis for 12 months.. You will provide person-centred care across the antenatal and postnatal periods, working closely with a multidisciplinary team and local partners.When you join, youll receive excellent guidance and support from us as an organisation, but also from some of the most experienced and dedicated members of our Maternity Services team.

Main duties of the job

A midwife who will provide high standards of clinical care throughout the pregnancy continuum. You will have recent Intrapartum experience in either a labour suite, an AMU or home birth environment. You will fulfil the role of an active member of the midwifery team and provide evidence of continuing professional development and clinical experience.

Be professional by always adhering to Health and Safety legislation, administration and storage of drugs, clinical incident reporting, infection control, child protection and safeguarding, and safekeeping of patient property.
Research and Education
Be curious by taking part in clinical audits and trials to improve patient care. By using, developing, and sharing evidence based practice to carry out care competently and efficiently. And by participating in the evaluation of our education programmes.
Be an educator mentoring both qualitied and unqualified staff, including student midwives. Help people develop their leadership and supervision skills and complete any documentation required when taking on the role of mentor. Assist in the orientation of new staff or Return to Practice midwives where you will act as a preceptor
