Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Body Shop Supervisor to join our clients expanding automotive service team. Supported by the strength of a leading UK Group, our client is undergoing rapid growth, perfect timing to bring in a leader who thrives on quality, efficiency, and team development.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and coordinate daily activities of technicians within the body shop.
Oversee scheduling, workflow prioritisation, and job allocation to maximise productivity and turnaround times.
Conduct regular quality inspections of ongoing and completed repairs to ensure they meet manufacturer standards and customer expectations.
Manage parts and supplies: order stock proactively and monitor usage to avoid delays.
Provide guidance, training, and performance feedback to technicians, promoting a collaborative and high-performing team culture.
Liaise directly with customers (and insurers where applicable) to provide updates, address inquiries, and uphold exceptional service standards.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
Qualification and Experience:
Proven supervisory experience within an automotive body shop or collision repair environment.
Sound technical understanding of bodywork processes, repair techniques, and industry-standard equipment.
Familiarity with estimating, parts inventory, or shop management software systems.
Strong leadership capabilities, effective at coaching teams, resolving conflicts, and managing performance.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, practical organisation, and multi-tasking mindset.
Full UK driving licence required.

Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
Excellent problem-solving abilities and sound decision-making under pressure.
High level of technical knowledge across body shop processes and repair methods.
Commercial awareness with an understanding of productivity, cost control, and efficiency.
Strong organisational and time management skills to handle multiple priorities.
Clear and confident communicator, both verbally and in writing.
Commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship and outstanding customer service.
Awareness of health and safety regulations and ability to enforce compliance.
