An opportunity has arisen for a part time, highly motivated band 3 Team Administrator, to provide a comprehensive and efficient administration service for our Mental Health Team in HMP Risley.
Applicants are invited for the post of Team Administrator. We require a highly motivated, dynamic individual with excellent communication and organisational skills, who has an interest and positive attitude to working with male offenders within a secure estate. Experience of working within a mental health would be desirable.
Applicants must demonstrate secretarial/administrative experience and have an organised and flexible approach, with the ability to prioritise your workload and relate to all types of people. Your excellent IT and interpersonal skills will also ensure that you’ll have no trouble fitting into this busy, interesting role.
Flexibility can be given in terms of working days/hours.
Applicants must have lived on the UK for a minimum of three years to be eligible to apply for prison vetting.
Please note - This role is not eligible for sponsorship unless you meet criteria by temporary exemption from current changes to immigration rules put in force on 22/07/2025. Separate provisions are applied to workers who have been sponsored and held continuously Skilled Worker visa since prior to 04/04/2024.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will provide a comprehensive and confidential secretarial service and administration support to the Prison Community Mental Health Team within HMP Risley.
The main duties of the role will be to support the Mental Health team as well as the senior administrator onsite, with tasks suck as: arranging meetings, taking minutes, updating the clinical record system. The post holder will be expected to ensure that visitors of the prison have a gate pass to ensure they are able to gain access and be a point of contact to collect people from the gate. The role will include raising requisitions, and ordering stationery for the team as well as scanning, photocopying and completing monthly data as requested.

7. RSA Level III word processing or equivalent level of experience.

The Trust mandates all post holders who require a DBS for their role to subscribe to the DBS Update Service. You will be required to enrol for this service for a fee of £16 per year and maintain registration throughout your employment with GMMH.
