The job
We are seeking an innovativeMachine Learning (ML)datascience leader. Thisis a hand-on lead role driving theinvestigation, incubation, and development of new AIand MLsolutions to be incorporated into AVEVA’sindustrial AI offerings.The ideal candidate will have a strong background in machine learning,advanced analytics, data science,andfrontier AI applications.
Key responsibilities
1. Investigate and recommend algorithmic/data science solutions to industrial problems
2. Define and translate ambiguous concepts into well-defined questions, drive analysis of complex datasets for insights, and design data-driven experiments and incubations for emerging AIand MLtechnologies
3. Drivethe design and architecture of scalable data infrastructure and analytics platforms
4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to prototype, pilot and testML-driven solutions
5. Contribute to scientific and technical publications on AI/ML research
Essential requirements
6. 12+ years of experience in data science, advanced analytics, ML engineering, or equivalent industry experience with4+ years in hands-on statistical modeling, machine learning, datapipelines and experimental design
7. Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics or a related technical field;PhDdegree preferred
8. Deepexpertisein frontier and emerging AI, ML and data science techniques and best practices, including model evaluation, training/tuning, monitoring, and governance
9. Recent experience with modern AI paradigmssuch as:world models, foundation models, and multi-modal language models; agent-based systems and orchestration; and context retrieval and augmentation techniques
10. Experience in responsible deployment practices, model drift mitigation, privacy-preserving federating learning,and AI governance best practices
11. Proficiencyin Python, SQL, R and machine learning libraries
12. Exceptional communication andpresentation skills and can articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences

13. Experience in industrial domains
14. Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
15. Experience mentoring junior team members andleading technical programsend-to-end
