The Role: What You’ll Be Doing
As a Careers Adviser, you’ll provide impartial, high-quality advice and guidance to adults exploring their next steps in work or education. Your day-to-day will include:
* Building strong links with job centres, community organisations, and referral partners
* Promoting a wide range of funded programmes (vocational, digital, security, and functional skills)
* Checking learner eligibility and maintaining compliance with funding requirements
* Offering personalised careers advice to match learners with the right course or pathway
* Providing wraparound support before and after enrolment to help learners stay engaged
* Working closely with delivery teams to ensure a smooth learner journey and sustained success
Who We’re Looking For
You’ll thrive in this role if you have:
* Experience in careers advice, employability, IAG, or community engagement
* A track record of supporting adult learners, including unemployed or inactive individuals
* Strong listening, communication, and organisational skills
* A passion for widening participation and making education accessible
* (Desirable) Knowledge of eligibility and compliance in funded learning
