Role Purpose
We are offering an exciting opportunity for an experienced P&I Senior Claims Executive to join our Asia Pacific team, based in the UK.
This is a high-profile, internationally focused role where you will handle a broad and challenging portfolio of P&I claims, including complex and high-value matters. You will play a pivotal role in shaping claims strategy, building trusted relationships with Members and brokers, and contributing to the continued success of a collaborative, forward-thinking team.
You will work closely with colleagues across claims, underwriting, FD&D, and loss prevention, gaining exposure to a wide range of jurisdictions and operational environments. There will also be opportunities to travel to Asia as part of the role to visit our offices and Members.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage a diverse portfolio of P&I claims, including complex, sensitive, and high-value cases, ensuring timely, effective, and cost-efficient outcomes.
* Retain strategic control of claims, drawing on external legal and technical advice while maintaining overall ownership and direction.
* Provide clear, accurate, and timely reporting on new and ongoing claims to the Head of P&I Claims.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with Members and brokers, delivering a consistently high level of service and support.
* Mentor, supervise, and support colleagues within the P&I Claims function, contributing to a positive and high-performing team culture.
* Collaborate closely with FD&D, Underwriting, and Loss Prevention teams to identify trends, mitigate risk, and enhance Member relationships.
* Prepare agendas, reports, and briefings, keeping stakeholders informed of significant developments within the Asia Pacific sector.
* Support business development initiatives and actively network with Members and customers, both in the UK and overseas, including travel to Asia.
* Contribute to audits and continuous improvement of claims handling practices and operational processes.
* Ensure compliance with claims procedures, file management standards, internal reporting requirements, and participation in out-of-hours emergency response when required.
