Description
As the Head of Logistics you will,
Lead and manage all aspects of logistics operations, through the support of 3PL partners to cover, service levels, commercials, and capacity uplift, across the following areas,
3PL contracts
Inbound and outbound transport
Storage
Co-packing
Develop and implement strategies to optimise supply chain efficiency and minimise costs.
Collaborate with internal teams to forecast demand and ensure inventory levels meet business requirements.
Monitor and improve KPIs related to logistics and supply chain performance.
Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, transport providers, and other key stakeholders.
Introduce and manage innovative technologies to streamline logistics processes, and provide clarity through effective reporting
Provide leadership to the logistics team, including recruitment, training, and performance management.Profile
A successful Head of Logistics should have:
Proven expertise in logistics and supply chain management within the FMCG industry.
A strong understanding of inventory control, distribution, and transportation processes, ideally gained from working within a 3PL, and then transferring to a 3PL management role (manufacturer or retailer)
Track record leading and developing teams and managing cross-functional projects.
Proficiency in systems and the ability to interpret and present data to support actions, supplier performance reviews, and strategy
