Location: Barrow-in-Furness, Cumbria
Salary: £168.80 per day up to M3 Teacher pay scale per day (Paid PAYE)
Contract: Full-Time, Temporary to Permanent
Start Date: ASAP - 17th July 2026

We are seeking a dedicated French Specialist to join a vibrant secondary school community. This is a full-time position (5 days per week) starting immediately and running through the full academic year until July 2026. This role is perfect for a teacher who thrives on continuity and wants to make a lasting impact on their pupils' linguistic development.
Your Key Responsibilities
* Deliver engaging French lessons across KS3 and KS4.
* Plan and prepare high-quality resources that cater to a range of learning abilities.
* Track pupil progress and provide constructive feedback to encourage growth.
* Maintain a positive classroom environment in line with the school's behaviour policy.
* Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to the wider school community.
Requirements
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
* Specialism in French (ability to teach a second language is a bonus).
* Proven track record of managing a classroom effectively.
* An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or a willingness to apply for one).
* Eligibility to work in the UK.
