How will you add value to the OpenPayd journey?
* Acting as an advisor for regulatory matters impacting the OpenPayd business
* Advising on ongoing compliance with applicable, laws, regulations and guidance, including PSD2, EMD, MICA, outsourcing guidelines
* Horizon scanning to monitor changes to laws and regulations that may impact the OpenPayd business
* Engaging with industry bodies as required
* Preparing regulatory notifications and filings
* Delivering legal education for the business through bespoke training and raising awareness
* Supporting the wider legal team to provide efficient and effective legal support to the business
* Ad hoc legal and regulatory tasks.
The ideal candidate will have the following:
* UK qualified solicitor with 2-6 years post-qualification experience (gained either within private practice or in-house)
* Technical knowledge of UK and EEA payment services and e-money regulations
* Regulatory advice supporting company growth and delivery of strategic projects
* Knowledge of regulatory requirements relating to safeguarding, outsourcing, operational resilience, wind-down planning
* Advice on the regulatory perimeter
* Ability to explain complicated legal concepts in a way that is understandable to business stakeholders in both written and oral communications.
* Confident to manage own workload, coordinate with other members of the legal team, act independently, and seek out information required to deliver successful outcomes
* Effective communication skills and interpersonal skills
* Strong multitasking, prioritisation, and organisational skills
* Comfortable with a hybrid working environment
* Keen attention to detail
