To demonstrate best practice oversight of conduct risks, regulatory and statutory requirements in order to promote a positive compliance culture across the firm. Working collaboratively to build stakeholder relationships that deliver ongoing improvements.
As the Compliance Officer, you will:
1. Perform internal quality audits (to include firm wide compliance reviews) in line with the Risk Audit schedule
2. Maintenance of the annual audit schedule
3. Coordination of the firms risk register
4. Supporting the firm’s response to anti-bribery, modern slavery, and GDPR ensuring processes & policies are reviewed in a timely and proactive manner
5. Be a first point of contact for internal queries and questions
6. Provide administrative support to the Head of Risk & Compliance and Data Protection Officer
7. Management of the firm’s business continuity management system
8. Management of client and supplier due diligence requests
9. Identify and support the implementation of continuous improvement opportunities
10. Provide regular Risk and Compliance updates to senior management and key stakeholders
11. Implementation of the firm’s incident response process.
We are looking for:
12. Must have strong analytical skills and attention to detail
13. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a pragmatic and hands-on approach
14. Results-driven, output-focused team player with experience of working in a complex environment, delivering to deadlines
15. Strong reporting skills with the ability to apply sound business practices and work with business leaders
16. Professional qualification in Risk, Compliance, Internal Audit (ICA, IRM, IIA etc) is preferred but not essential.
17. Able to analyse regulations to assist in the implementation of suitable compliance controls
18. Strong experience working in a regulatory environment with good understanding of risk, controls and regulatory obligations
19. Demonstrated ability to manage stakeholders at all levels within an organisation
