Claims Technician Role Summary

* This is a Claims Technician opportunity where you will be an active member of the team, providing effective support to Adjusters and other claims technicians in handling Construction & Engineering claims.

Your Key Responsibilities:
">
* Administer new claims, including receiving instructions, issuing acknowledgments, setting up files, and undertaking risk screening and triaging.
* Work closely with Adjusters to assist with investigation, claims management, and validation enquiries.
* Control the lifecycle of files to drive diary management and support proactive claims management from setup to conclusion.
* Assist in overseeing Adjuster caseloads when necessary during periods of leave.
* Liaise as required with insured parties, insurers, brokers, and other stakeholders to ensure optimum customer service.
* Aid in the production of technical reports for Adjusters in compliance with professional standards and internal guidelines.
* Aid in preparing co-insurers apportionment spreadsheets.
* Ensure time reporting and billing are compliant with internal standards and processing systems.
* Develop and run management information for clients and internal use, including performance measurement and data integrity reports.
* Ensure company standards are met regarding technical and operational policies and procedures.
* Support account management where required.
* Assist with incoming telephone calls and resolve queries.
* Invoice as necessary.

About You - Knowledge and Experience:

* You have demonstrable experience as a claims technician, including caseload management from start to finish.
* You have a keen interest in construction-related insurance matters and are willing to learn and develop your skills.
* You possess an organized and methodical approach to work, with high attention to accuracy and analysis.
* You can self-manage your workload while being a team player.
* You are proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
* You have excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities and conflicting demands.
* You can thrive in a high-pressure environment and meet targets.
* You are flexible with regard to occasional travel requirements.
