We specialise in the transport of full and part loads between Ireland and Great Britain using our extensive fleet of modern tractor units and trailers.Due to continued expansion, we are seeking to recruit a Transport Operations Manager to join our team based in Ballyclare.The RoleThis is a key position within the business, responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations and long-term performance of the companys vehicle fleet, while supporting continued growth.Key ResponsibilitiesOversee all aspects of the companys vehicle fleetWork closely with senior management on future growth and recruitmentManage the in-house workshopSchedule regular maintenance (PSV/inspections) to minimise downtime and ensure vehicles are roadworthy and secureEnsure the welfare and safety of all personnelReport and document road traffic accidents and personal injuriesEnsure the company meets all Operator Licence requirementsCarry out other ad hoc duties as requiredRequirementsPrevious experience in transport management, fleet management, or logistics operations leadershipStrong understanding of vehicle maintenance, mechanics, and transport regulationsCPC qualification (desirable)Excellent people management skillsCommercial awareness with the ability to improve performanceProficiency in Microsoft OfficeCalm, practical, and organised approachBenefitsPension schemeFlexible working hours28 days holidayWHJS1_NI
