Theoretical Scientist Job Description
This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled Physicist to join our team as a Theoretical Scientist.
In this role, you will have the chance to work on developing physics codes and models, applying radiation transport techniques, and collaborating with colleagues to advance our research.
* You will need to have a strong degree in Physics or a related discipline, with a focus on modelling or code development.
* A PhD or relevant post-graduate experience would be beneficial for this role.
* You should also be willing to travel overseas to participate in modelling workshops and peer reviews.
We value skills such as:
* An understanding of how radiation interacts with matter.
* Familiarity with radiation transport codes, such as MCNP, OpenMC, or Geant4.
* Developing physics codes and models.
* Programming languages such as Python or C++.
* Linux and High-Performance Computing (HPC).
