📌 Job Opportunity: Band 3 Administrative & Clerical Officer (Appointments Office – Ulster Hospital)
Location: Ulster Hospital
Hours: Full-time (37.5 hours/week), Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm
Contract: Temporary ongoing Until end of March 2026 (initially)
Rate of pay : £12.31 oer hour
We are currently recruiting three Band 3 Administrative & Clerical Officers to join the Appointments Office team at the Ulster Hospital. These roles are vital in supporting the delivery of patient-focused services and ensuring efficient clinic management.
📝 Key Responsibilities:
1. Input and manage patient data using systems such as Epic, PAS, and Patient Centre
2. Schedule appointments in line with clinical priorities and IEAP targets
3. Provide reception cover and respond to patient queries with empathy and clarity
4. Support audits and data accuracy initiatives
5. Assist with training and induction of new staff
6. General office duties including scanning, filing, diary management, and minute-taking
✅ Essential Criteria:
Applicants must meet one of the following:
7. 4 GCSEs (Grades A-C) including English + 1 year’s admin/clerical experience
8. NVQ Level 2 in Administration + 1 year’s admin/clerical experience
9. 2 years’ admin/clerical experience
Plus:
10. 1 year’s word processing experience
11. Experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
💡 Desirable:
12. Experience using computerised databases
